# Some Withered Flowers #

This poem talks about memories we find hard to let go—wilted flowers, broken promises, and feelings that stay in our hearts. It teaches us that while time changes our lives, we can still value our past, learn from it, and stay true to ourselves.
Letting go of the past doesn’t mean losing the truth inside us.

Some Withered Flowers

Some withered flowers still remain
In a vase beside my door.
Their days of bloom have long since passed,
Yet I cannot discard them anymore.

Their fragrance has surrendered to time,
Their petals have forgotten spring,
Yet when I pause to look at them,
I hear old memories softly sing.

Some faded words still fill the pages
Of a diary I seldom read.
I wish to erase those promises,
Those dreams that never came to be.

And thoughts I held in younger days
Still whisper softly in my soul.
I change, I learn, I walk ahead,
Yet cherish the roots that make me whole.

I honour where my life began,
The lessons time has etched in me.
I welcome change, embrace new dreams,
Yet guard the truth that keeps me free.

For not all that’s old is worthless,
Nor does fading steal all grace.
Some things endure beyond their beauty,
Held forever in love’s embrace.

Let flowers wither, let words fade,
Let time rewrite the paths ahead.
Through every change, one prayer remains—
May truth live on in all I am,
And keep my heart and soul unchanged.
