A heartfelt reflection on life’s journey, woven with memories of youth, love, separation, forgotten dreams, and unspoken emotions. It is about looking back without regret, embracing every scar and smile, and discovering that age may turn the pages of life, but the heart always has more stories to tell.
The Stories Still Within Me
I want to write what time cannot erase,
The lines on my face, the stories they trace.
The dreams I cherished, the tears I concealed,
The wounds of the heart that never quite healed.
I want to revisit the days gone by,
The first tender glance, the unspoken sigh.
The warmth of your touch, the pain of goodbye,
And all those moments that still make me cry.
I want to meet the young soul I once knew,
Walk those old roads and dream anew.
Gather the fragments of a life well spent,
And find the meaning in every moment.
O God, give my words the courage to flow,
Let my heart reveal what my eyes never show.
For I am not done with life’s beautiful art,
There are countless untold stories in my heart.
I have lived, I have loved, I have lost along the way,
Yet I have so much more to write and say.

Looking back is a good way to see the path we have followed. Sometimes we do not know why things happene the way they do until we see a decision we made or a direction we took many years ago. Everybody has a story/stories to tell. We only need listen. Happy Friday. Allan
