A tender poem about unspoken love, hidden tears, and memories that refuse to fade. Behind a smile lies a heart longing for someone who is no longer there, still searching for an answer to the one question that love leaves behind: Why? ❤️
My Heart Still Asks
I wish you knew what I could never say,
How I missed you every single day.
I hid my tears, I wore a smile,
And kept your memories all the while.
I meet you often in my dreams,
Then wake to silence, or so it seems.
I have no blame, no words to prove,
Just a quiet heart that longs to love.
I never asked for the world to care,
I only wished that you were there.
Some dreams may fade, tears may dry,
But my heart still asks the reason… why ?

Well said❤️ Some people leave our lives, but never our hearts. Their memories stay with us forever, quietly reminding us of the love we can never forget.

Verma ji Your poem touches the deepest truth of love: some bonds may fall silent, yet their emotional imprint remains beyond the reach of time.
Sometimes, the heart keeps asking why, when the soul must gradually learn to embrace what it cannot explain. True love is not measured by presence alone, but by the tenderness, wisdom, and humanity it leaves behind.

Thank you for such a thoughtful and beautiful interpretation. You have expressed what my poem perhaps could not fully say. I believe some emotions are beyond words, and some connections remain alive in our hearts despite distance and silence. Perhaps the greatest lesson of love is learning to cherish the memories without losing ourselves in the questions left unanswered. 🙏
