The Waves Find Me

At the edge of evening,
I sit beside the sea,
watching the waves
come and go.

They know my silence,
they know my pain,
yet never ask me
to explain.

The wind touches my face,
the sunset touches my soul,
and slowly,
the noise within me fades.

I leave my worries
on the shore tonight—
and walk away
with nothing but peace.

Somewhere between
the waves and the sky,
I found myself again.
