# Live the Moment #

A reminder that time keeps moving, so we shouldn’t waste our moments worrying about the past or future. Instead, enjoy the simple joys of life—friendship, nature, creativity, prayer, and quiet moments—and choose to be happy in the present.

Live the Moment

Hold the morning sunlight
falling through your window.
Hold the laughter of a friend,
the hand beside you,
the warmth of your tea.

Enjoy the walk,
the song,
the painting,
the prayer,
the quiet conversation,
the peaceful afternoon
when nothing happened—
yet everything felt right.

Yes, Time has wings—
silent and invisible,
always moving.

So don’t worry too much
about yesterday
or tomorrow.

Breathe.

Be present.
Love a little more.
Smile a little longer.

Life is not waiting
for the perfect moment.

This moment is life.

So cherish it.
Live it, Feel it..
And while Time flies—

stay happy.

Yes, sometimes we make life too complicated by thinking about yesterday and worrying about tomorrow. In reality, life keeps reminding us to slow down and live one moment at a time.
One minute, one breath, one little joy at a time—that is where life truly happens.

  4. i always have to remember this concept Vijay. you are so right. we must not allow both poles of the past and future define our present. we must be here, we must cherish it and we must ensure that we only give what is due to either side. Great piece! Mike

I truly appreciate your thoughtful words. You have expressed the essence beautifully—we cannot change the past or control the future, but we can choose how fully we live this present moment.
The past deserves reflection, the future deserves preparation, but the present deserves our presence.
Let us cherish today and give each moment the attention it deserves.

  5. Enjoy the walk,
    the song,
    the painting,
    the prayer,
    the quiet conversation,

There’s a great lesson to be learned,
because we tend to enjoy the aftermath of these activities
    And less appreciate the process

    • Absolutely! 🙏 We often rush toward the result and forget to enjoy the journey that creates it. The walk, the song, the painting, the prayer, and the quiet conversation are not merely steps toward something—they are the moments that make life meaningful. Let us enjoy the process, one beautiful moment at a time.

    for the perfect moment.

    So perfect!

You’ve captured the heart of the message beautifully. Life is happening right now—not when everything becomes perfect. Be present, love more, smile often, and cherish the little moments. That is where the real magic of life is.

  7. very inspiring (helps in the all-too-daunting ambition to linger in the here-and-now)

made me think of something I read in college, to the effect that ‘there are no dress rehearsals in life’

    • Thank you so much! 🙏
I love that thought—“there are no dress rehearsals in life.”
It reminds us that this moment is not a rehearsal for some future life; it is life itself. So let us be present, cherish today, and make each moment count.

  8. It is often difficult to relax and enjoy the moment where you are, but the effort is well worth it. Have a great day. Allan

    • Absolutely, Allan. We often spend so much time thinking about yesterday or worrying about tomorrow that we forget to simply enjoy today.

Learning to pause, breathe, and appreciate the moment is perhaps one of life’s simplest—and most rewarding—habits. The present may not be perfect, but it is the only moment we truly have.
