# Me and My Wound #

This is a quiet reflection on old wounds, painful memories, and the loneliness that sometimes follows us through life. The poem reminds us that healing does not always mean forgetting the past.

Sometimes, we simply need to create a little joy, allow hope to return, and give our hearts another reason to smile.

Me and My Wound

Today, my pen is moving,
but my heart is bleeding again.

I have no great complaint with life—
yet sometimes,
loneliness finds me
and takes me back
to yesterday.

Some memories
do not fade with time.
They quietly grow with us,
living inside old wounds
that refuse to disappear.

I told my life,

“Peace is enough.
Why search for anything more?”

Life smiled and whispered,

**“No…
when joy was with you,
peace was there too.

Create joy again.
Let your heart laugh,
let your dreams breathe,
and peace will return.”**

I paused.

Perhaps life was right.

Some wounds
do not need forgetting—
they need a little happiness
to heal.

So I will not run
from my past anymore.

I will create joy again…

And perhaps,
when joy returns,

peace will quietly
walk back into my life.
