I am not waiting
for the world to tell me
who I am.
I know.
I am the courage
behind my fears,
the strength
behind my scars,
the dream
behind my sleepless nights.
I may stumble,
I may pause,
I may lose my way—
but I will rise again.
My worth is not measured
by applause,
nor my success
by someone else’s scale.
I carry my own light.
Today, I choose courage.
Today, I choose hope.
Today, I choose myself.
The road ahead
may not be easy,
but I will walk it
with my head held high.

You touched on a great point Verma-ji. Often the biggest obstacle to our success is the choices we make or the people we surround ourselves with. If we think we can’t do something, we are right, if we think we can do something, we will try and may find out the doing is easier than the thinking.
In my later career, I would often tell people if you want to see what I can do, just tell me I can’t do it.
