Still, I Choose Life
I love you, Life—
not because you are easy,
but because you keep
leaving little surprises
along the way.
My heart may be blind,
but my eyes remain wide open,
waiting for that unexpected moment
that makes everything feel new.
You are strange,
beautiful,
and impossible to define—
a mixture of tears and laughter,
loss and discovery,
goodbyes and beginnings.
Maybe I don’t need
to understand you.
Maybe I only need
to keep walking,
keep hoping,
keep looking at the sky
with wonder in my eyes.
For I know
one day I will meet
a moment, a person, or a dream
that changes me forever.
And when I do,
I won’t ask why.
I’ll simply smile and say—
“Life,
I knew you still had
something beautiful
waiting for me.”
