A Little Shop of Dreams is an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life and enter a magical place where courage, laughter, memories, youth, and hope are freely available.
This poem reminds us that dreams are not things we buy—they are sparks we carry within us. Sometimes, all we need is a gentle reminder to believe in them again.
# My Little Shop of Dreams #
If dreams could be bought,
I would open a little shop
at the corner of Hope and Tomorrow.
No money required.
Just bring your tired heart
and leave your worries at the door.
On my shelves
I would keep bottles of courage,
jars of laughter,
packets of peace,
and tiny drops of sunshine
for rainy days.
There would be a special shelf
called “Once Upon a Time,”
where you could find
the laughter of childhood,
the face of someone you miss,
and moments you thought
time had stolen forever.
I would also keep
a little box marked “Youth.”
Open it carefully.
Inside, you wouldn’t find
younger skin or darker hair—
you would find something better:
the desire to live again.
For those carrying too many worries,
I would have dreams
sharp enough to cut through fear.
For those who have stopped believing,
I would quietly whisper:
“Try once more.”
And at the centre of my shop
would be a large wooden table
with just one word engraved on it—
HOPE
Take it freely.
Take some for yourself,
and some for the person
who may need it tomorrow.
Because dreams are strange treasures.
The more you give away,
the more they grow.
Perhaps, one day,
someone will ask me,
“How much does a dream cost?”
I will smile and say,
“Nothing.
But you must be brave enough
to believe in it.”
And when you leave my little shop,
I hope you carry no parcel in your hands—
only a little more light
inside your heart.
Because I don’t really sell dreams.
I simply remind people
that they still have one.

Then you’ve come to the right shop! 😊❤️
Joy is absolutely priceless here—and the best part is, you don’t have to pay for it. Just open your heart, take a little joy with you, and remember to share some along the way.
The more joy we give, the more we seem to have. ✨🌷

I’m delighted that you liked the idea. Sometimes the simplest dreams are the ones that bring the greatest joy. May your heart always have plenty of joy, hope, and beautiful dreams to share! ✨🌷

Verma ji, this is absolutely beautiful. You’ve woven magic into words and created a space where the heart feels safe enough to dream again. The way you’ve reimagined hope, courage, and memory as tangible things on a shelf—it’s nothing short of poetic genius.
My favorite lines are the ones about the “little box marked Youth”—what a profound truth. You’re right, it’s never about younger skin or darker hair; it’s about the desire to live again. That hit deep.
And that final thought—that you don’t really sell dreams, you simply remind people they still have one—that’s the kind of wisdom that stays with a person long after they’ve finished reading.
Thank you for this gentle, luminous gift. The world needs more shops like yours. ✨

Thank you so much for these beautiful and heartfelt words. ❤️ Your appreciation means more to me than I can easily express. I’m truly touched that the little “shop of dreams” and especially the “box marked Youth” spoke to you so deeply.
Perhaps that is the real magic of writing—when something born quietly in one heart finds a home in another. ✨
And I love what you said about creating a space where the heart feels safe enough to dream again. That is exactly what I hoped this poem would do.
