This poem is a heartfelt prayer for divine guidance in writing. It expresses the poet’s wish that their words carry truth, kindness, and healing energy. It reflects a deep desire for the pen to become a medium of hope, love, and emotional comfort for anyone who reads it.
My Pen, My Prayer
O my Lord, my guiding light,
my Master who makes wrong feel right,
give strength unto this humble pen,
so I may write with truth again.
Let every line I try to weave,
carry a light that hearts believe,
may kindness flow in every word,
louder than hate, a sweeter chord.
Let no feeling be left unheard,
no silent pain without a word,
whoever reads my simple art,
may feel its echo in their heart.
Let me carry prayers I receive,
and give more love than I believe,
may every soul feel calm and near,
and melt away from doubt and fear.
Teach me myself, O gentle Lord,
through every sign, through every chord,
let my pen reflect Your grace,
and leave behind a kinder trace.

Verma ji, this is truly a soul-stirring piece. Every line flows with heartfelt devotion and a quiet, powerful sincerity. The way you’ve woven faith, kindness, and the gentle hope of healing into your words is nothing short of beautiful. “Let me carry prayers I receive, and give more love than I believe” — that line alone resonates deeply. Your pen is indeed a prayer, and through it, you leave behind not just verse, but light. Thank you for sharing such a graceful and moving poem. 🙏✨

Thank you so much for your generous and heartfelt words. 🙏✨
I’m deeply touched that the poem resonated with you in this way. When I write, I often hope that the words might carry a little comfort, a little faith, or simply a reminder that kindness still matters. Knowing that you felt those themes within the poem means more than I can adequately express.

Again, a very touching poem – thanks for sharing, Vijay.
Starting a task with noble intent, creates more than the output of the activity; it resonates in the immaterial world and permeates the hearts and souls of those beings who are able to open up to love and kindness.
Warm wishes,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reflection and warm wishes.
I find your perspective deeply meaningful. The idea that noble intent extends beyond the visible results of our actions resonates with me. We often focus on what we create or accomplish, yet the spirit in which something is offered may be just as important as the thing itself.

Dear Vijay,
I’d like to share some thoughts personally. It seems to me that placing them here is not one-to-one. How can I reply to you privately? – that is, if that meets your needs; I can warmly accept a ‘no’.🙂↔️

Dear Peter,
Thank you for asking so thoughtfully and respectfully.
I truly appreciate your willingness to share your thoughts more personally. Your kindness in offering me a comfortable “no” speaks volumes about your character.
At the moment, I prefer to keep conversations within this space, but please know that I value your reflections and would be happy to continue our exchange here. I’ve always found your comments insightful, and I read them with genuine interest.

Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words.
I am truly grateful that the poem resonated with you. As writers, we send our thoughts into the world never quite knowing how they will be received, so it is always meaningful when someone connects with the heart of what we hoped to express.

As writers, we can only hope that the thoughts and feelings we place on the page find a home in the hearts of others, and your comment reassures me that those connections are possible.

This feels less like a poem and more like a sincere conversation with the Divine. ✨ The humility in asking not for fame or recognition, but for words that heal, comfort, and spread kindness is truly beautiful. I especially loved the line ‘Let every line I try to weave, carry a light that hearts believe’ it captures the very essence of meaningful writing. Gentle, heartfelt, and filled with grace, this poem leaves behind exactly what it prays for: a kinder trace in the reader’s heart. ❤️🖋️🙏
