Self-care for happier life

Friends,

We are very much conscious about our health, so why not ? In the present environment, health is the prime issue. Everyone tries to keep fit. I am also one of them.

Selfcare  has been defined as the process of taking care of oneself with behaviors that promote health and active management of illness when it occurs.

Yes, I want to be physically and mentally healthy.  For our physical fitness, we are doing morning walks, yoga, swimming, and playing sports.

Now, for mental fitness, we have to practice spiritual methods as well.

Yes, I am trying to focus on the following things and finding so many benefits. That is why I would like to share those good habits and hope that will motivate you as well.

Practice Gratitude

Most people struggle with stress and other negative emotions because they focus only on the bad things happening in their life and forget to count their blessings. However, if you want to be happy always and become the best version of yourself, you need to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. You have to be more optimistic.

Gratitude is a positive emotion that involves being thankful and appreciative and is associated with several mental and physical health benefits. When you experience gratitude, you feel grateful for something or someone in your life and respond with feelings of kindness, warmth, and other forms of generosity.

The word gratitude can have a number of different meanings depending on how others use it and in what context.

Be grateful for what you have, appreciate the small things in life, and strive to achieve your goals to make life more meaningful.

Allow yourself to get lonely

Spending some time alone is a good idea. It helps you think about what went wrong and helps in self-evaluation as well.

No matter how much you love your partner and kids, you still need some time to spend alone. So, allocate some time in your busy schedule for yourself and spend it accordingly.

I usually wake up early in the morning and enjoy my morning walk for half an hour. After that, I do yoga and meditation in the park sitting alone for half an hour. That is my precious time for my self-assessment.  I feel positive energy within and feel charged for the whole day. I do a solo trip once a year.

I usually take a break from all connections including the internet for an hour during my Yoga and meditation.

This time is my best time for self-care and helps me for a better mood.   I feel more productive, and it helps to build healthier relationships, what I think so.

Detox your mind

Do not keep ill feelings towards anyone. We always ponder on useless things, such as this person is bad, that person has done wrong to me.in fact, we should not keep ill feelings to anybody. Because your thoughts will pollute you. They will affect your consciousness. There is a beautiful story,

A saint used to live in a hut by the lakeside in the Himalayas.

These mountain lakes are known for their clarity, purity, and serenity. And the swans used to come and congregate there.

once, a hunter came looking for swans. He was astonished to see the swans come and sit all by the side as the sadhu sits on the side of the lake to meditate. they were oblivious of him; The swans had no fear of him. They freely walked all around.

In fact, they were kind of drawn by the vibrations that he was emanating during his meditation.

That hunter was on a mission. He wanted to capture some swans and go and sell them at the zoo.

So he told the sadhu —  I was trying to capture the swan but they are so elusive, I cannot get them..

They come and sit all by you. Can you please help me? Tomorrow, you keep this net under your feet. when the swans come close to you during meditation, please throw this net on them and they will be trapped.

First, the sadhu refused to do so. But the hunter convinced him, that is for a better cause. They will be kept at Delhi Zoo where children will see and be thrilled. All they will have better care there,

So, the sadhu gets convinced; he said —I agree.

The next day Saint went for meditation with the net kept under his feet and sat down there.

He kept his eyes closed. Thinking as usual the swans will all come around him.

And once when he opens his eyes, he will catch them by throwing the net at them.

But when he opened his eyes, he found that there were no swans anywhere around.

Somehow the swan had sensed the situation. It is a fact that these animals have got a greater sense in this regard.  they do not understand human language(communication) but they grasp it just by feeling.

They had realized that sadhu’s feelings had changed. He had now got the thought in his mind to catch these swans.

Friends, it is by our thoughts we purify ourselves and It is by our thoughts that we pollute ourselves.

So, when we keep resentful thoughts toward others, we think this person is very bad. He did bad to me.

In fact, the polluted thought resides in us and the loss that is suffered is by us only, not by the others. Yes, Self-care is necessary for a happier life.
