A Little of Me
One day, my footsteps will fade away,
And time will carry my words away.
But somewhere, in a poem I write,
A little of my soul will stay alight.
In family smiles, in friendships true,
In stories shared, in skies of blue,
In every heart I’ve helped to heal,
Will live the love I tried to reveal.
I’ve gathered memories along life’s way,
Some filled with laughter, some with gray.
Through every season, loss and cheer,
I’ve learned that love is what we leave here.
So when my journey reaches its end,
Remember me not just as a friend,
But as a man who tried each day
To spread some joy along the way.
Yes, life is brief, but love is wide—
I may be gone, yet not denied.
In every heart touched by what I do,
A little of my life will live on too.
