# The Little Good I Do #

A heartfelt poem about the quiet power of kindness and the beauty of making a difference. We may not change the whole world, but a little compassion, a helping hand, or a comforting word can brighten someone’s darkest day.

True greatness lies not in how much we possess, but in the love and hope we leave behind. 🌷

The Little Good I Do

I may not be the sun that lights the sky,
But I can be a lamp when hopes run dry.
I may not stop life’s storms from coming through,
But I can hold a hand and see someone through.

I cannot change the world overnight,
But I can help one heart find light.
No fame, no crown, no grand applause—
Just kindness given without a cause.

And when my days have reached their end,
May I be remembered as a caring friend.
Yes, life’s worth is not what we achieve,
But the love we share and the hearts we leave.

I may be small in this world, it’s true,
But there is still so much good I can do.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words. I believe compassion is one of life’s most beautiful gifts. The more we give, the more our own hearts are enriched.
A little kindness may seem insignificant to us, but it can mean the world to someone else. After all, compassion costs nothing, yet its value is immeasurable. Stay blessed! 🙏

  3. Verma’ji, this is a gentle yet meaningful reminder that goodness need not announce itself through grand gestures. Sometimes it is simply a hand held at the right moment, a kind word offered without expectation, or the quiet willingness to stand beside someone when life becomes difficult. I particularly like the thought that we may not be able to change the world overnight, but we can certainly make a difference to one life, one heart at a time.

There is a beautiful humility in the poem’s closing thought. Perhaps the true measure of a life is not the number of milestones we leave behind, but the warmth that remains in the lives we have touched. A lovely piece, dada, and a sentiment worth carrying into our everyday lives.

    • Thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt words. I truly believe that goodness does not need a grand stage or recognition; it simply needs a kind heart and the willingness to make someone’s journey a little easier.

Life has taught me that we may not always have the power to change someone’s circumstances, but we can certainly offer a little hope, comfort, and companionship. And sometimes, that makes all the difference.

  4. Verma ji, Such a beautiful reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can leave the biggest mark on someone’s heart. We may not change the whole world, but we can make someone’s world a little brighter. 🦋✨

    • Absolutely! I firmly believe that kindness is never a small gesture. A smile, a few comforting words, or a helping hand can create a lasting difference in someone’s life. We may not have the power to change the entire world, but we can certainly make our little corner of it more beautiful. After all, the world needs more kind hearts than great achievements. ❤️ Stay blessed!

  5. Many times we undervalue the gifts we give to others…a helping hand, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on or a hug to comfort. Hard to put a value on these small tokens and if given willingly and without expectation, their worth is immeasurable. Have a wonderful day. Allan

    • So beautifully expressed, Allan! I completely agree. The most precious gifts in life often come without a price tag—a listening ear, a comforting hug, a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needs us. True kindness is never measured by its size but by the love and sincerity behind it. Let us continue giving without expectations and making this world a little warmer, one heart at a time. Have a wonderful day too! 🙏

  6. You know you don’t even have to introduce a poem’s heartfelt. It’s pretty obvious from the reader that it’s coming from deep with inside the heart.

    This is beautiful

    • Thank you so much for understanding the emotion behind the words. I believe poetry needs no introduction when it comes straight from the heart; its feelings find their own way into the reader’s heart. Your appreciation truly means a lot. ❤️

    • So beautifully expressed! I believe life’s greatest treasures are often hidden in the simplest things—a kind word, a genuine smile, a loving gesture, or a moment of understanding. They may seem small, but their impact can stay with us forever. After all, it is often the little things that make life truly meaningful. Thank you for sharing this lovely thought. 🌷
