# Take One More Step #

This is a reflection on the invisible friendships that support us in tough times. With reassuring words like “Let it go,” “Take one more step,” and “You’ve got this,” the poem highlights the healing power of friendship and kindness.

Often, those who uplift us may not be with us physically, but their words stay alive in our hearts.

# Take One More Step #

Thank you for telling me,

“Let it go,”

when I was still carrying
the weight of yesterday.

You taught me
that some losses
are not meant to be recovered,
some chapters
are not meant to be rewritten,
and some goodbyes
must simply be accepted.

You taught me
that letting go
does not mean forgetting.

It means
making room
for something new.

And whenever
I doubted myself,
you stood beside me
and whispered:

“You’ve got this.”

Those three words
became a little light
inside my darkness.

When I felt down,
you lifted me.

When I felt weak,
you reminded me
of my strength.

When I wanted to give up,
you quietly told me:

“Take one more step.”

You never promised me
that life would be easy.

You simply reminded me
that I was strong enough
to walk through it.

Perhaps that is
what true friendship means—

not always having answers,
but staying close
when there are no answers.

Not taking away
the pain,

but helping someone
believe that
the pain will pass.

Thank you, my unseen friend,
for healing little pieces
of my heart
with your love,
your kindness,
and your blessings.

Perhaps I may never know
where you truly are.

But whenever I need you,
I hear your gentle voice
somewhere within me:

“Let it go.
Take one more step.
You’ve got this.”

And somehow,
I find the courage
to keep walking.

  3. Support of those around us and yes even of our divinities is crucial for some to continue on through the adversities encountered. Being or feeling alone can hinder progress. Happy Monday. Allan

    • Absolutely true! ❤️ A genuine friend may not always be physically present, but their kind words, understanding, and encouragement can touch our hearts and give us strength when we need it most.
Distance may separate people, but true friendship always finds a way to keep hearts connected. 🌹

You’ve captured the essence of true friendship so perfectly—the kind that doesn’t need physical presence but lives on in the words and strength it gives us. I believe friendship is not measured by physical presence but by the comfort, hope, and strength we offer one another.
