# Young by Heart #

A poem about growing older while keeping a youthful spirit. It highlights choosing peace instead of conflict, dreams over regrets, and self-discovery over others’ expectations.

The poem reminds us that while age may change our appearance, it doesn’t define a heart that continues to dream, love, and embrace life.

Young by Heart

They say I’m growing old,
but I think they misunderstand—
years have touched my face,
not the fire within.

I have buried yesterday’s sorrows
beneath tomorrow’s dreams,
and learned that peace
is sweeter than being right.

Once, I lived
to please the world.
Now, I leave a little space
for the man inside me.

I paint my days
with colours of my choosing,
turn scars into stories,
and silence into song.

Let the mirror count my wrinkles;
I count the mornings
that still make me smile.

Let time take my youth—
it cannot take my wonder.

For age may bend the body,
but it cannot make old
a heart that still whispers:

“There is more life to live,
more dreams to dream,
more love to give.”

So let the years keep coming.
Let time write its story on me.

I will keep dreaming.
I will keep loving.
I will keep becoming.

For I may be growing older—
but I will always remain
young by heart.

    • Thank you so much, Sir.
Growing older, to me, is not merely about counting the years but about understanding, accepting, and celebrating the journey. Your appreciation of the poem truly touches my heart. I believe every passing year leaves us with a little more wisdom, faith, and gratitude
