LET US BEGIN AGAIN

A gentle reflection on life, nature, love, and compassion. The poem reminds us that life is fleeting, and our true legacy is not what we possess, but the kindness, warmth, and humanity we leave behind in the hearts of others.

LET US BEGIN AGAIN

Let us begin again—
where flowers bloom without fear,
where rivers carry songs
and the morning smells of rain.

Let us walk through golden fields,
beneath a sky washed blue,
while butterflies whisper
what our hurried hearts once knew.

Let us return to humanity,
to hands that heal,
to words that comfort,
to hearts that know how to feel.

For life is only a passing breeze—
here for a moment,
gone before we know.
Why fill it with hatred
when there is so much love to sow?

Nature gave us this beautiful Earth
not to conquer,
but to cherish;
not merely to live upon,
but to celebrate.

So let us leave behind
a little kindness wherever we go,
a smile in a stranger’s memory,
a light where darkness used to grow.

And when our journey ends,
let no monument speak our name.

Let the flowers say it.
Let the rivers remember it.
Let a few grateful hearts whisper—

“The world was a little warmer
because this soul passed through it.”

  1. i am always fascinated by the cyclical nature of flowers. especially when it dawns on me that long after I am gone, they will still bloom again.

your piece captures this feeling so well Vijay. a beautiful piece of writing.

    • Thank you so much for your beautiful reflection. 🌸 I feel the same way—the fleeting life of a flower somehow carries a timeless message. We may pass, but nature keeps renewing itself, quietly reminding us that life is a cycle, not an ending. I’m truly glad my words resonated with you.

  3. This is such a beautiful and soulful reflection Verma ji 🤍 It gently reminds us that life is too precious to be spent in hatred, anger, or constant striving. In the end, perhaps the most beautiful legacy is the kindness we leave in someone’s heart, the comfort we offered, and the little light we brought into another person’s difficult day. Loved the thought of letting the flowers and rivers remember us instead of monuments. 🦋✨
