# I Have Seen You, Life #

Life is a journey of smiles, tears, storms, and unexpected lessons. This poem is a quiet conversation with Life—a reflection on the struggles we survive, the courage we discover, and the hope that keeps us sailing.

No matter how rough the waves become, the journey is not over; the best chapter may still be ahead.

I Have Seen You, Life

When I look into the mirror,
I no longer see just myself—
I see a journey
written in smiles,
tears, and silent battles.

I have seen you, Life.
I have seen your storms,
I have seen your tears,
I have seen your courage,
and above all,
I have seen you
still smiling.

I have seen Life
at her most beautiful,
and I have known her storms.

There were days
when the road seemed endless,
when every step felt heavy
and hope seemed far away.

Yet somehow,
I kept walking.

I once feared the storms,
but now I understand—
they were not sent to break me;
they came to reveal
the strength I carried within.

Life, I never planned
to fall in love with you.
You came with surprises,
changed my direction,
and taught me lessons
I never asked to learn.

But today,
I trust you.

Let the waves rise.
Let the winds blow.

My boat may tremble,
but it will not sink.

For I have learned
that courage is not
the absence of fear—
it is choosing to sail
even when the shore
is nowhere in sight.

And now I know—

My journey is not over.
The shore is waiting.

So, Life, keep moving with me.
I will keep sailing with you.

Perhaps the best chapter
is still waiting to be written.

  2. Absolutely breathtaking, Verma ji! 🌊✨

This poem isn’t just written—it’s felt. Every line carries the weight of lived experience and the lightness of hard-earned hope. The way you’ve personified Life as both a teacher and a companion is truly masterful.

‘I have seen you still smiling’—that line will stay with me for a long time. It’s a beautiful reminder that resilience isn’t about never breaking; it’s about choosing to keep sailing even when the shore disappears.

Thank you for this quiet, powerful conversation with Life. You’ve turned struggles into art and storms into poetry. The best chapter is yet to come—and I can’t wait to read it in your words.

Keep writing. Keep sailing. Keep inspiring. 🙏❤️

    • Thank you so much for your beautiful and deeply thoughtful words. 🙏✨ Your comment has touched me more than I can express.

I’m especially happy that the line “I have seen you still smiling” stayed with you. Perhaps that is what Life teaches us in the end—that storms may change us, but they don’t have to take away our ability to smile, hope, and move forward.

  3. Perhaps Life never promised us calm waters. It only asked us to keep sailing.

The storms we resist often become the teachers we remember, and the wounds of yesterday quietly become the wisdom with which we face tomorrow. Courage is not knowing where the shore is; it is trusting the journey even when the horizon offers no answers.

And perhaps the deepest realization is this, Life does not always change its course for us. Sometimes, it changes us enough to walk through the same storms with a different heart.

The journey continues. The next chapter remains unwritten.

    • Thank you for these beautiful and profound words. 🙏🌊 You have captured the essence of life’s journey so beautifully.

I especially love the thought that Life may not change its course for us, but it can change us enough to face the same storms with a different heart. That is perhaps what true growth means—not the absence of difficulties, but discovering the strength, wisdom, and faith to navigate them differently.

For me, poetry is often a way of reminding ourselves that even when life becomes difficult, there is always another morning, another possibility, and another chapter waiting to be written. 🌅
