Written on the Clouds” is a tender reflection on an unspoken love—one that lives in glances, memories, silence, and the invisible space between two hearts. It explores the beauty of a feeling that may never be confessed, yet is deeply understood.
# Written on the Clouds #
There is a silence between us
that somehow speaks my name.
I see you in the quiet moments—
in an old smile,
a familiar glance,
a memory that refuses to fade.
At night, when the world grows still,
I write to you without paper,
without ink,
without words.
My heart writes.
Perhaps your heart reads.
I don’t know
what I am to you now—
a memory,
a feeling,
or simply an unfinished story.
But whenever our eyes meet,
for one brief moment,
time seems to forget itself.
No questions.
No promises.
No explanations.
Just two hearts
understanding what neither
has the courage to say.
Maybe love is not always
about holding someone close.
Sometimes,
it is quietly carrying them
inside your heart—
and smiling
when nobody knows why.
Some feelings are never spoken.
They are simply understood.
Yes…
perhaps this is love—
a quiet, invisible feeling,
written on the clouds,
beautiful for a moment,
yet impossible to hold.

Such a delicate and beautifully expressed piece Verma ji 🤍 Some feelings don’t need words or promises; they quietly exist in the spaces between two hearts. A beautiful reminder that love can be felt even in silence. 🦋✨

Thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt words. 🤍
I completely agree—some of the deepest feelings live beyond words. They don’t need explanations, promises, or even constant presence; sometimes silence itself becomes a language understood only by two hearts.

Varma Ji,
When the conversation is about silence, why make any noise? Reading your verse, this iconic couplet simply floats to mind
”There must have been some helpless constraints,
one does not turn unfaithful just like that.”
When love no longer relies on words, it survives purely as a silent feeling. To hold someone close from afar and smile while hiding it from the world not everyone possesses such an art of loving.
The solitude you have etched here requires no praise; it is meant to be lived in quiet reflection.

Thank you for such a profound and beautifully expressed response. 🙏 Your words have understood the very soul of the poem.
You are absolutely right—some emotions are too deep to be spoken aloud. Silence sometimes becomes the most honest language of the heart. It allows love, longing, memories, and solitude to exist without needing an explanation.
