# Yes, I Am Angry #

“Yes, I Am Angry” is an honest conversation with life—a reflection on lost youth, unfulfilled dreams, unexpected choices, and the wounds caused by disrespect. Yet beneath the anger lies something deeper: the tenderness of having cared, dreamed, loved, and hoped.

Yes, I Am Angry

Yes, I am angry
with my life.

My youthful days are gone,
my golden years have arrived,
and the glow on my face
has surrendered to wrinkles.

Sometimes I look into the mirror
and wonder—
where did that young dreamer go?

I wanted to become a doctor,
to heal people,
but life made me a banker.

I dreamed of finding a partner,
but somewhere along the way,
I chose a different path.

I have no regrets—
yet sometimes
I wonder about the roads
I never travelled.

And yes,
when someone insults me,
I get angry.

I am human.

I have feelings,
memories,
and dreams that remained unfinished.

So yes,
I am angry with life—

for the years that disappeared,
for dreams that changed,
for moments
that never returned.

But perhaps
anger is simply
a shadow of something
I once cared about deeply.

  1. Funny thing about anger is that it seldom takes you to a better place. I do hear you on the time and opportunities lost and there may be a tinge of regret, but too small to measure. Mostly, I am grateful for what I earned, experience and achieved, even the bad stuff that made me stronger. Have a wonderful day. Allan

    • Thank you, Allan. I couldn’t agree more—anger rarely takes us anywhere worth going, while gratitude helps us see the whole journey with greater wisdom. And I love your perspective on the past: even the difficult experiences had something to teach us and helped shape the people we became.

Perhaps there is no need to regret the roads not taken when we can be grateful for the road we actually travelled. The good, the bad, the successes, and the setbacks—all of them have contributed to our story.

  2. This one really stayed with me Verma ji 🤍There’s something so deeply human in admitting that we’re angry with life, while still knowing we have no regrets. We all have those roads we sometimes wonder about. Loved the honesty and vulnerability in this one… beautifully written. 🦋✨

    • Thank you so much for your heartfelt words, my friend. ❤️ I’m truly touched that this one stayed with you. Perhaps life is not about having no anger, doubts, or “what ifs,” but about embracing them honestly while still making peace with the road we have travelled.
