# Finding Myself Through Words #

Every writer carries stories that are deeply personal,
even when they appear to belong to someone else.

Finding Myself Through Words is a reflective poem about gathering scattered memories, healing silent wounds, and discovering that every poem we write reveals another hidden part of who we are. Sometimes, the greatest journey is not across the world—but within ourselves.

# Finding Myself Through Words #

I am a writer.

I gather fragmented thoughts
the way autumn gathers leaves—
quietly,
patiently,
without asking
where the wind
has carried them.

Some pieces
sleep inside faded photographs.

Some hide
between the lines
of letters
never sent.

Some still echo
in the laughter
of those
who now live
only in memory.

Others were left behind
at railway stations,
hospital corridors,
childhood classrooms,
and sunsets
I was too busy
to truly watch.

Every poem I write
is another attempt
to stitch
my scattered soul
with delicate threads
of words.

Sometimes
I find a forgotten piece
in a stranger’s smile.

Sometimes
in the gentle aroma
of a cup of tea.

Sometimes
in the silence
between two heartbeats,
where no language exists,
yet everything
is understood.

People believe
writers create stories.

Perhaps.

But more often,
I write
to search
for the pieces
of myself
hidden
within every story.

Every character
carries
a fragment
of my soul.

Every metaphor
conceals
a silent wound.

Every ending
is simply
another beginning.

I wait
for the day
when I can finally say—

I am whole.

Yet life
keeps smiling,
scattering
new pieces
of my heart
across tomorrow.

So I begin again.

Searching.

Listening.

Remembering.

Writing.

Not because
I am lost—

but because
every word
brings me
one step closer
to the person

I was always
meant to become.

    • Thank you so much, my dear friend, for your beautiful and thoughtful words. 🙏✨ I truly believe that writing is more than putting words on a page—it is a journey inward, where memories, emotions, and forgotten pieces of ourselves slowly find a voice.

Sometimes, we begin writing to tell a story and end up discovering something about our own heart. ❤️🪶 Thank you for understanding and appreciating that quiet journey. Your encouragement means a great deal to me. 🌸✨

    • Good evening, my dear friend. 😊🙏 Thank you so much for your beautiful and deeply thoughtful response.

I’m truly touched by the way you understood the poem—not simply as a journey across the sea or the world, but as an inward journey into the landscape of our own souls. Your image of autumn gathering scattered leaves is especially beautiful. 🍂✨

I love the concept of letters, never sent and you have a recurring theme of this.

I love your drawing of a hand with a pencil. It’s a difficult sketch, but you did it well and it fits perfectly with the theme of your poem.

    • Thank you so much for your thoughtful and encouraging words. ❤️ I’m glad you noticed the recurring theme of “letters never sent”—sometimes the words we leave unwritten carry the deepest emotions.

I’m especially happy that you liked the sketch of the hand holding the pencil. It was a challenging subject to draw, but somehow the pencil seemed to speak the same language as the poem. ✍️ Perhaps some feelings are meant to remain between the lines, waiting quietly for someone to discover them.
