A poem about transformation, healing, and the power of writing. It explores how pain, when given a voice, can become a path to self-understanding and a source of unexpected strength.
# The Page That Whispered #
Pain never arrived
with answers.
It came with questions.
Why did you stay
where you were not valued?
Why did you call it love
when it cost you your peace?
One day,
I stopped running
from those questions
and began writing them down.
A sentence became a confession.
A page became a mirror.
And somewhere between
the tears and the ink,
I found a version of myself
I thought I had lost.
Now when pain returns,
I no longer fear it.
I give it a blank page.
Because some wounds
do not come to break us—
they come to teach us
how to tell our story.

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. 🌿🍂
I’m truly glad the poem resonated with you. Sometimes a simple string of thoughts, woven together with honesty, can express what many of us quietly feel but seldom put into words.

Verma ji, this is absolutely breathtaking. The way you’ve turned the act of writing into a sacred ritual—a mirror rather than an escape—is profoundly moving. “A page became a mirror” hit me deeply; it captures exactly how truth reveals itself when we stop running. And that closing thought—that wounds come to teach us how to tell our story—is the kind of wisdom that stays with a reader long after the last line. You haven’t just written a poem; you’ve given pain a language, and in doing so, offered a quiet, powerful gift to everyone who reads it. 🙏✨

Thank you so much for your extraordinarily thoughtful and heartfelt reflection.
Your words have touched me just as deeply as you say the poem touched you. I have always believed that writing is not an escape from pain but a gentle conversation with it. When we stop running from our wounds and begin listening to them, they often reveal truths we could never have discovered otherwise.

This post narrates a tale of wisdom as pain came to make you strong because you stopped running from it and it stopped scaring you .. very beautifully written ✨

You have beautifully captured the heart of the poem. I believe pain often has two choices before us: we can spend our lives running from it, allowing it to keep frightening us, or we can face it with honesty and let it become our teacher. The moment we stop resisting it, pain gradually loses its power to control us and begins to shape us into stronger, wiser, and more compassionate human beings.

Thank you so much for your kind words.
You’re absolutely right—pain often arrives carrying questions. It asks “Why?”, “Why me?”, and “What now?” These questions are not always easy to answer, and sometimes they remain unanswered for a long time.

Well said. We have always believed in writing things down to see where we stand, to make a big decision or to reaffirm one already made. It is important to know why we are the way we are, because, many times it is not evident, until we take stock. Happy Sunday. Allan

Thank you so much, Allan.
I completely agree with you. There is something remarkably clarifying about putting our thoughts on paper. Writing has a way of revealing what the mind often hides. It helps us untangle emotions, examine our choices, and sometimes even discover truths we didn’t know we were carrying within us.
I especially appreciate your thought that “many times it is not evident, until we take stock.” That resonates deeply with me. Reflection gives us perspective, and perspective often brings understanding—not only of our decisions, but of ourselves.

So true. Pain is an indicator that we need to pause and pay attention.

I completely agree with you. Pain is often life’s gentle—though sometimes painful—invitation to pause, reflect, and pay attention to what our heart has been trying to tell us. While we naturally wish to avoid it, pain can become a wise teacher if we are willing to listen.

This is absolutely beautiful✨. I love how you turned pain into something that doesn’t just hurt it teaches, heals, and transforms. “I give it a blank page” is a line that will stay with me for a long time.🤍✨

Your reflection means more to me than I can express. I’m deeply touched that the line, “I give it a blank page,” stayed with you. To me, that line represents a quiet act of surrender—not surrender to pain itself, but to the healing that begins when we stop hiding from it and allow it to speak.
