This poem is a gentle talk between a writer and God — a simple prayer for words filled with feeling, truth, and healing. Instead of wanting fame or perfection, the poet desires to connect with even one person through honest expression. It shows vulnerability, humanity, and the wish to make writing feel real.
Let My Words Breathe
I don’t want my pen to just write…
I want it to feel.
O God… if You are near,
not in thunder, not in noise,
but in the quiet spaces
where thoughts fall apart—
please sit with me there.
Because I write with hesitation,
guide my words to carry meaning.
Let my words breathe…
not perfectly, not polished—
but honestly.
Let them shake a little
when they speak about pain.
Let them smile a little
when they speak about love.
And if they ever forget who they are,
remind them…
they came from the heart,
not from something cold like a machine.
I don’t want loud praise.
I don’t want empty applause.
I want one silent reader somewhere
to stop scrolling…
and suddenly feel understood.
Just one.
That’s enough.

Verma ji, this is absolutely beautiful. The way you’ve turned writing into a quiet prayer—seeking not perfection but honesty, not applause but a single moment of understanding—touched me deeply. “Let my words breathe” is such a powerful plea; it reminds us that the best writing doesn’t shout, it simply exists with someone in their silence. Thank you for this gentle reminder that connection matters more than recognition. Please keep letting your words breathe—they already reached at least one person. 🙏

Thank you so much for these deeply touching and thoughtful words. Your understanding of the piece feels incredibly heartfelt, and I’m truly moved that its quiet intention reached you so personally. You expressed the essence of writing so beautifully — that sometimes the greatest purpose of words is simply to sit beside someone in silence and make them feel a little less alone. “Connection matters more than recognition” is a truth I will carry with me. Grateful beyond words for your kindness, encouragement, and gentle spirit. 🙏✨

Thank you sincerely for such a beautiful and thoughtful reflection. It means a great deal to know that the poem’s quiet honesty resonated with you so deeply. You understood exactly what the heart of the piece was trying to say — that sometimes the softest words carry the deepest emotions. I’m especially touched that line stayed with you. If even one reader feels seen, understood, or a little less alone, then the poem has fulfilled its purpose. Truly grateful for your kindness and meaningful words. ✨🙏

I really appreciate that—thank you 🌿
It means a lot when something resonates not just as poetry, but as truth. That’s always the quiet hope behind writing: that it finds someone who feels it, not just reads it.
Glad it connected with you.

It’s always meaningful when something written from a place of reflection and gratitude resonates deeply with someone else. Truth, when expressed simply and sincerely, has a way of finding its own connection.

Thank you so much, Sir.
Knowing the poem spoke to you in such a sincere way is deeply meaningful.
Poetry feels complete only when it finds a heart willing to meet it halfway, and your thoughtful reflections have truly added warmth to it.

I really appreciate that—thank you, Sir.
There’s something genuinely grounding about that idea: when understanding doesn’t need to be loud or explained too much, it just settles between two people quietly. It makes the exchange feel human in the simplest, most honest way.

Absolutely true Sir. Without a doubt. We shall continue our exchanges and inspire each other to create in poetry and art and in the “art” of life. All the best.

Thank you, Sir.
I truly look forward to our continued exchanges of poetry, reflection, and creativity.
Art has a beautiful way of connecting souls across distance and experience, and the “art of life” may be the greatest masterpiece of all. Wishing you inspiration, peace, and many meaningful moments ahead. All the very best to you as well. ✨🙏

That means a lot—thank you truly. 🌿
I’m really glad it connected with you like that.
Sometimes a few words, a song, or even a short moment is enough to remind us why we create in the first place—to feel, to share, and to touch something human in each other.

This is the same as finding your writing voice
I don’t want my pen to just write…
I want it to feel.
Although I do prefer pencil

That’s beautifully put—and yes, I think you’re absolutely right. Finding a writing voice is really the moment when words stop trying to impress and start trying to feel. 🌿
And honestly, pencil feels fitting for that idea somehow. Ink can feel permanent, but pencil carries softness—room for revision, smudges, second thoughts, and honesty in progress. There’s something deeply human about writing with something that allows erasing without shame.

Writing, for me, is indeed a quiet and reflective space—almost like a conversation with the deeper parts of life. I’m really glad that feeling came through in the poem for you.

Thank you so much for your beautiful words.
Yes, there’s something powerful in choosing connection over perfection—because it allows the heart to speak without filtering itself into silence. And often, that’s where the real poetry begins.
