# Let My Words Breathe #

This poem is a gentle talk between a writer and God — a simple prayer for words filled with feeling, truth, and healing. Instead of wanting fame or perfection, the poet desires to connect with even one person through honest expression. It shows vulnerability, humanity, and the wish to make writing feel real.

Let My Words Breathe

I don’t want my pen to just write…
I want it to feel.

O God… if You are near,
not in thunder, not in noise,
but in the quiet spaces
where thoughts fall apart—
please sit with me there.

Because I write with hesitation,
guide my words to carry meaning.

Let my words breathe…
not perfectly, not polished—
but honestly.

Let them shake a little
when they speak about pain.
Let them smile a little
when they speak about love.

And if they ever forget who they are,
remind them…
they came from the heart,
not from something cold like a machine.

I don’t want loud praise.
I don’t want empty applause.
I want one silent reader somewhere
to stop scrolling…
and suddenly feel understood.

Just one.
That’s enough.

  1. Verma ji, this is absolutely beautiful. The way you’ve turned writing into a quiet prayer—seeking not perfection but honesty, not applause but a single moment of understanding—touched me deeply. “Let my words breathe” is such a powerful plea; it reminds us that the best writing doesn’t shout, it simply exists with someone in their silence. Thank you for this gentle reminder that connection matters more than recognition. Please keep letting your words breathe—they already reached at least one person. 🙏

    • Thank you so much for these deeply touching and thoughtful words. Your understanding of the piece feels incredibly heartfelt, and I’m truly moved that its quiet intention reached you so personally. You expressed the essence of writing so beautifully — that sometimes the greatest purpose of words is simply to sit beside someone in silence and make them feel a little less alone. “Connection matters more than recognition” is a truth I will carry with me. Grateful beyond words for your kindness, encouragement, and gentle spirit. 🙏✨

    • Thank you sincerely for such a beautiful and thoughtful reflection. It means a great deal to know that the poem’s quiet honesty resonated with you so deeply. You understood exactly what the heart of the piece was trying to say — that sometimes the softest words carry the deepest emotions. I’m especially touched that line stayed with you. If even one reader feels seen, understood, or a little less alone, then the poem has fulfilled its purpose. Truly grateful for your kindness and meaningful words. ✨🙏
