Many years ago, during my stay in Kolkata, a very kind taxi driver told me he saw something in me that reminded him of Lord Ganesha. He then gifted me a small card with a Ganesha bas-relief that he kept in his car. I still cherish that moment and the blessing behind it.
That’s a really tender memory to carry with you. There’s something quietly powerful about moments like that—when a stranger notices something gentle in us and responds with kindness and symbolism rather than words alone.
The image of a taxi driver in Kolkata gifting you a small Ganesha card feels almost like a passing blessing on an ordinary day that turned meaningful. Lord Ganesha, after all, is often seen as the remover of obstacles and the one who brings gentle beginnings—so it’s a beautiful association he made in that moment.

Thank you so much for this wonderful reply.
That little gift is very dear to me, and I always keep it before my eyes, in its beautiful burgundy and gold-patterned cardboard envelope, complete with small red beads.
That is truly touching 💖 The way you describe it — the burgundy and gold-patterned envelope, the tiny red beads, and the care with which you keep it close — makes it feel far more than just a gift. It sounds like one of those precious little treasures that quietly carries memories, emotions, and the warmth of a special connection.
Indeed, I don’t consider it a simple gift, but a special message/connection from a person with whom I found myself on the same wavelength, even if only for a day.
That makes it even more meaningful. Some gifts carry far more than their physical form — they become quiet reminders of a rare connection, understanding, or moment of genuine resonance between two people. Even if it lasted only a day, those encounters can leave an imprint that stays with us for years.
Some memories don’t fade with time—they simply soften around the edges, like an old photograph kept carefully between the pages of a well-loved book. ✨🌿
