This poem reflects on the enduring memory of a loved one who is no longer present yet remains in our thoughts and daily lives.
It highlights the emotional mix of absence and presence—showing that love doesn’t disappear but changes into a quiet reminder that accompanies us in every moment.
You Still Walk With Me
Though you are not here,
you never truly left.
You live in the quiet spaces
between one thought and the next.
I find you in places
where there is smoke, not fire—
in old memories
pretending to be something new,
in silence that suddenly learns
how to call your name.
You are not near, not far,
just somewhere I cannot reach,
Yet never stop your feelings.
Like rain that falls without touch,
like wind that passes without sound,
you remain
in a way, absence never learns to explain.
Sometimes I think you are a dream
that forgot how to end,
or a truth
I was never ready to hold completely.
And still, every path I take
softly bends toward you,
as if even distance
remembers where you belong.
So I stay here—
not waiting, not moving on,
just walking with the echo of you,
where even time feels your name.
