# Who Says I Am Behind ?

True progress is not measured by speed or competition—it lies in staying true to one’s rhythm, purpose, and inner light.

This poem is a gentle reminder that even when the world races ahead, growth often blooms in silence and steadiness.

Who Says I Am Behind ?

Who says I am falling behind?
Each step I take holds a seed of design.
While others chase a fleeting name,
I gather depth in silence’s flame.

From those ahead, I borrow their light,
To guide my path through the troubled night.
To those behind, I share my spark,
A glow of hope through times so dark.

I rise, though storms may cloud my skies,
For every pain, a truth shall rise.
I may move slow, but I’m not confined—
Who says I am falling behind?

Progress is not where they arrive,
It is where one’s spirit stays alive.
I do not count how far I’ve climbed—
Who says I am falling behind?

  3. Patience is virtuous, I love poetry but understand so very little. This poem in a sense, captures my frustration with this day. And a glimmer of hope.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Poetry has a way of speaking to emotions even when the words themselves feel elusive, and it’s beautiful that this piece resonated with your day’s frustrations while still offering a spark of hope.

Sometimes, it’s less about fully understanding and more about feeling—and it seems this poem has done just that for you.

  6. Another beautiful poem- this is what im learning too, that I’m not falling behind, but learning and progressing, which is slow for instance for my drawing, but I’ve come to accept that. 🙂 Love your art too, as always!🤗
