# The Weight of Fallen Petals #

This poem shows the quiet sadness of old memories—the gentle fall of petals represents the hidden grief we hold. Each flower symbolizes love, loss, and unanswered questions, blending into the stillness of the night.

It is a tribute to feelings we don’t express, portrayed in the calm of nature’s goodbye.

The Weight of Fallen Petals

The petals fall—a silent, soft descent,
Like whispered sorrows, time mis-spent.
Each fragile bloom, a fragment of my soul,
Scattered in winds I cannot control.

The air grows thick with quiet, aching grief,
As I drift through dreams and past belief.
The garden weeps in hues of fading light,
Its shadows deep, consuming night.

I gather petals, drenched in silent tears,
Each one a memory magnified by years.
The scent of loss—a haunting, sweet perfume,
A whispered promise fading in the gloom.

My hands now tremble, bearing all that weight—
The remnants of a love resigned to fate.
The earth receives them with a gentle sigh,
And I am left to wonder… softly, why?

And in the stillness where the shadows creep,
I find the solace of a mournful sleep.

  1. MashaAllah! This is exquisite! The poem captivated me to such a degree, I was in awe, completely absorbed in the emotions. I write poems too but my poems are not even close. Just wow!

    • Thank you from the depths of my heart for your kind and heartfelt words—MashaAllah, your appreciation means the world to me.
Poetry is not a competition of perfection, but a reflection of the soul—and I truly believe that if your verses come from the heart, they already carry immense beauty and power.

Let’s continue to inspire each other with our words—one emotion, one verse at a time.
