I hope this blog finds you in a cheerful mood. Today’s writing prompt question is truly fascinating: “If there was a biography about you, what would the title be?”

It’s a question that makes us pause and reflect on our own lives, our experiences, and the legacy we want to leave behind.

Everyone has a story worth telling, woven with struggles, triumphs, emotions, and lessons. Some people live extraordinary lives filled with adventure, while others find beauty in the simplicity of their daily routines.

Regardless of how we perceive our own journey, each life holds a unique narrative, waiting to be penned down.

I, too, have often thought about writing my biography. I have lived a life filled with twists and turns, from my career in banking to my unexpected but beautiful transformation into a writer, poet, and artist.

The journey I embarked upon post-retirement was something I never imagined, but it became the most fulfilling phase of my life. If I were to name my biography, it would be titled “A Journey Unwritten.”

Why This Title?

The title “A Journey Unwritten” reflects the idea that life is an ongoing story. Despite the chapters we have already written, there are still blank pages waiting to be filled.

It signifies the unpredictability of life, the moments that surprise us, and the ability to redefine ourselves at any stage.

This title captures my transition from a structured, number-driven banking career to an expressive world of creativity. It’s a journey that I never planned, yet it became the most beautiful one.

The Early Chapters: A Life Defined by Routine

For decades, my life revolved around numbers, calculations, and financial reports. The banking industry gave me stability and discipline but left little room for creative exploration.

I followed the path that society had mapped out for me—education, a steady job, and financial security.

It was a life of responsibilities and routine, yet somewhere deep inside, a part of me longed for something different, something more expressive.

The Unexpected Transformation

Retirement is often seen as the end of a professional life, but for me, it was the beginning of a new adventure.

With no strict schedules or deadlines, I finally had the freedom to explore my interests.

Writing, which was once just a hobby, became my passion. Poetry, storytelling, and blogging became the new language through which I expressed my thoughts and emotions.

I started writing about life, memories, and reflections, and soon, my blog became an extension of my soul.

Through words, I connected with people, shared experiences, and found a community that resonated with my journey.

And then came another unexpected turn—I discovered my love for painting. The vibrant strokes of colors on the canvas became my second way of storytelling.

The Lessons Learned Along the Way

Life has taught me that it is never too late to redefine yourself. Many of us fear change, believing that we are bound by the identities we formed in our youth.

However, I have learned that transformation is not only possible but also necessary. Growth comes from embracing the unknown, from stepping outside our comfort zones, and allowing ourselves to evolve.

I have also realized the importance of creativity in life. Whether through writing, painting, or music, creativity allows us to express what words sometimes cannot.

It heals, it inspires, and it brings immense joy. Had I not taken the leap into writing and art, I would have never discovered this incredible part of myself.

The Continuing Story

“A Journey Unwritten” is not just the title of my biography; it is the philosophy by which I live. Even today, my story is being written, and I do not know what the next chapter holds.

Perhaps I will venture into filmmaking, learn a new musical instrument, or explore a new form of storytelling. Life is an unwritten journey, and I am excited to see where it takes me next.

This blog is not just about me—it is about all of us. Each of us has an unwritten journey ahead. We must embrace the unexpected, nurture our passions, and allow ourselves the freedom to grow.
