In the silence of the night, I hear your name,
A whisper carried through wind, soft as flame.
The stars above, they hold your distant light,
Yet in the dark, you’re missing from my sight.

I search the ocean, waves crash at the shore,
Hoping to find the you I’m longing for the core.
Each ripple speaks of you, each gust, your touch,
But all I grasp is the ache I feel that so much.

Hidden deep within the corners of my heart,
Even when far away, you were never apart.
Though you’re not here, your light never dies,
Even in the absence, your presence survives.

In the folds of my soul, your words still reside,
Through every lie, your truth did abide.
You lived in my breath, in each song I sung,
Though broken, you were the melody I clung.
