Essence of Childhood
Innocent hearts, a world unseen,
Joy in the simple, on fields of green.
Laughter echoed, untainted and free,
Friends by our side, a boundless decree.
No weight of worries, no burdens to bear,
Just sunshine smiles and untroubled air.
Days spun like stories, with wonder untold,
Adventures unwritten, mysteries so bold.
Now, echoes fade, replaced by sighs,
Maturity’s weight behind my eyes.
But in my heart, a warmth remains,
Of childhood’s joy, and sunshine’s rains.
