A Tranquil Morning at Yarada Beach

As the sun painted the sky with hues of dawn, we set out on the morning of our second day to explore Yarada Beach, a hidden gem located 22 km from our hotel in Vizag City.

The scenic drive took us through winding roads, surrounded by the Eastern Ghats Range, leading us to this pristine haven.

Yarada Beach greeted us with its serenity – a clean, well-maintained stretch of sand embraced by the picturesque Eastern Ghats. The tranquility of the surroundings made it an ideal spot for relaxation, and the hills provided a stunning backdrop, enhancing the beauty of the place.

Exploring the shoreline, we discovered intricate seashells and rock formations that added to the allure of the beach, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.

Exploring Naval History: INS Kurusura Submarine Museum

Our journey into the depths of Vishakhapatnam’s naval history continued with a visit to the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum.

This unique museum allowed us to step inside a decommissioned submarine, offering a firsthand experience of its cramped quarters and intricate machinery. Knowledgeable authorities provided insights into the functioning of the submarine, making the visit both informative and thrilling.

Opposite the submarine museum stood the Aircraft Museum, showcasing the TU142 aircraft. The well-guided tour took us through the inner workings of the aircraft, providing a fascinating view of its original settings.

The juxtaposition of the submarine and aircraft museums offered a comprehensive understanding of the maritime and aerial prowess that defines Vishakhapatnam’s rich history.
