Breakfast is not just a meal; it’s a chance to fuel your body for the day. My breakfast includes a colorful array of seasonal fruits, sprouted grams, chapati, and curd.

Enjoy breakfast mindfully, savoring the flavors to keep your digestive system working optimally.

Amid work demands, it’s crucial not to forget to incorporate movement into your midday routine. Whether it’s a brisk walk, some stretching exercises, or a short yoga session, taking the time to move enhances circulation, boosts energy levels, and alleviates stress.

I am a retired individual, and having more free time offers the opportunity to engage in various activities, such as visiting the grocery or vegetable market. Making the most of this time allows for a more leisurely approach to daily tasks, enabling one to appreciate and savor each activity fully.

Incorporating movement and purposefully engaging in daily tasks also contributes to an overall sense of fulfillment during the retirement phase. It’s important to find the balance between relaxation and activity, making the most of the time available while still allowing for moments of rest and rejuvenation.

Water is the elixir of life. Cultivate a habit of staying hydrated throughout the day. Keep a water bottle handy, infuse it with refreshing fruits or herbs for added flavor, and make a conscious effort to sip water regularly.

I prefer coconut water, which keeps me properly hydrated and supports bodily functions.

Lunchtime isn’t just about refueling; it’s an opportunity for mindfulness. Avoid rushing through meals and engage in conscious eating. Appreciate the textures and flavors of your food and be mindful of how much you eat.

This practice aids digestion and fosters a deeper connection with nourishment.

My routine includes enjoying my favorite sports, table tennis and badminton for the winter season, and an evening walk for a mile. Practicing gentle stretches prepares the body and mind for a restful night’s sleep.

Sound sleep is necessary for good health. Create a conducive environment for quality sleep by ensuring the bedroom is comfortable, free from distractions, and has an optimal temperature.

Disconnect from all electronic media/screens at least an hour before bedtime to signal to your body that it’s time for peaceful rest. This I could not follow but, from now I will try to follow. Quality sleep is a cornerstone of holistic health.

Before jumping into bed, take a moment to reflect on the day and express gratitude for positive experiences. This positive mindset before sleep contributes to a more peaceful and rejuvenating rest.
