Yes, I am Free,

Yes, I am Free, unburdened soul,

 Released from chains, a life made whole.

No more the weight of modern strife,

or constant grind that stings like a knife.

Free from the grind of endless days,

Profession’s grip no longer sways.

Retired, I find a fresh new start,

A chance to mend my wounded heart.

Sleepless nights and battles fought,

Depression’s grip, lessons dearly bought.

 No more a punching bag, I stand tall,

Reclaiming my life, I’ll give it my all.

Those darker voices, now they fade,

No longer leading to a shade.

I’ll chart my course, a brighter way,

Reinvent myself, a brand-new day.

Bad habits shattered, family cared for,

The strength to soar, to explore.

Today, I’ve learned, a truth profound,

In happiness, my life is found.

Yes, I am Free, a spirit anew,

Chasing dreams, skies painted blue

With lessons learned, pasts let go,  

I’ll live for me, let my true self grow.
