My True Identity

In a world of sorrow and despair,

Where hearts are heavy and souls are bare,

I stand here with a heavy heart,

Longing to find a brand new start.

I am not like the rest, it’s true,

I don’t possess what they pursue.

But I wear my flaws with dignity,

they’re a part of the real identity.

I’m neither Hindu, Muslim, nor Sikh,

Nor Christian, Buddhist, or Greek.

For in my eyes, we are all the same,

No label defines our worth or name.

But, I’ll walk my path with head held high,

Knowing my worth can never be denied.

In this emotional journey, I’ll always be,

Embracing my life, and my true identity.
