It was an adventurous experience, considering the scorching heat and humidity of the weather, but my thirst had me looking for water nearby. It was 3 o’clock afternoon.

Then, I noticed a vendor’s cart selling Sattu sharbat (a traditional Sattu-based drink).

Being a Bihari myself, Sattu holds a special place in my heart as it’s the staple food of Bihar. I decided to try it and, to my delight, the vendor effortlessly prepared a refreshing glass of Sattu sharbat by mixing it with water, infused with the flavors of Pudina (mint) and Jeera (cumin).

The taste was divine, and I couldn’t help but inquire about where to get this Brand of Sattu to use at home.

The vendor, an illiterate man from Bihar trying to make a living in the bustling city, proudly introduced me to a famous brand of Sattu called “Sachin Ji” from Bihar.
