Eventually we may reach the point where AI can emulate all human capabilities, a so called full brain simulation and that would be the singularity when everything changes extremely fast. if/when that happens husbands would no longer serve a purpose and can be replaced by robots. But that would be true for all of human kind. However, we are still very far from that. Husbands may still serve a purpose for a while.

And when AI Robots have human like emotions they will have emotional baggage and the poor woman is back where she started. Anyway, I read in an article written by a professor on AI that the reason current AI is so bad at making judgements is because they lack emotion and ability to form values. You need the whole package including emotions to be wise. I don’t know if that will ever happen, but Nick Bostrom an AI researcher think it will happen within 50 years.

Heh, I waited a very long time before I married; and back when I was young I was so fussy about men my grandmother said, “You need to marry a robot!” Maybe I was ahead of my time back then, but I wouldn’t trade my real husband for anything; he is the best! 🙂
A few years ago I interviewed a man who was in love with a doll. He has a You Tube channel dedicated to her. He buys her clothes, dresses her up, and even admitted he was intimate with the doll.
This kind of stuff is weird to me, but to each his own, I guess. I try not to judge.
