#Art Inspires Me#

Art has power to inspires us.

As far back as I can remember, I have always been drawn to art. From the moment I could hold a pencil, I would spend hours drawing, painting, and sketching, creating my own little worlds on paper.

But despite this early interest, it wasn’t until the last three years that I really started to take my artistic journey seriously.

For a long time, I dabbled in all sorts of arts and crafts. I remember spending hours making friendship bracelets, experimenting with different types of paper Mache, But despite enjoying all of these activities, nothing really seemed to capture my imagination in the same way that drawing and painting did.

Art is a means of Self expression.

My artistic journey after retirement

It wasn’t until I retired from the Banking service,  that I started to take my artistic journey seriously. I had been working in a Banking job for several years, feeling increasingly unfulfilled and uninspired by my day-to-day life. I started to realize that I needed a creative outlet, something that would allow me to express myself and feel more fulfilled in my work.

So, I decided to take a leap of faith and start drawing again after my retirement. I began by setting myself a challenge to draw something every day, no matter how small or simple. I started to carry a sketchbook with me wherever I went, and would spend my lunch breaks doodling and drawing in the park.

What keeps my heart awake is colorful silence.

Using different techniques and materials

At first, my drawings were pretty basic. I would sketch out simple shapes and objects, playing around with different techniques and materials. But as time went on, I started to notice a real improvement in my work. My lines became more confident, my colors more vibrant, and my compositions more interesting.

Looking back, I think one of the reasons why I have been able to make progress in my artistic journey is that I have been willing to experiment and take risks. I have tried out all sorts of different mediums, from watercolor and ink to charcoal and pastels. I have played around with different styles and techniques, trying to find my own unique voice as an artist.

A day celebrate the beauty and power of Art.

Feedback and support from my online friends

One of the things that has been most helpful for me on this journey has been seeking out feedback and support from my online friends and other artists. I have joined online communities and local art groups, where I can share my work with others and receive constructive criticism and encouragement.

Of course, there have been times when my progress has stalled. I have felt discouraged. I have been continuously criticized by my spouse and children in my house for this hobby.

But I have learned that this is all part of the artistic journey. Every artist goes through periods of self-doubt and creative block, and it’s important to recognize that this is normal.

Art is universal language.

Setting achievable goal

For me, one of the keys to overcoming these challenges has been setting myself achievable goals and celebrating my successes, no matter how small they may be. Whether it’s finishing a particularly challenging piece or receiving positive feedback from a fellow artist, each small victory helps to build my confidence and keeps me motivated to keep going.

Looking back on my journey so far, I am both proud of what I have achieved and excited about where my artistic journey will take me next. I know that there will be many more challenges and setbacks along the way, but I am committed to working hard and pushing myself to become the best artist that I can be.

A beautiful body perishes, but a work of art dies not.

Long way to go

Friends, my artistic journey has been a long and winding road, but one that has brought me so much joy and fulfillment. Through my passion for drawing and painting, I have been able to express myself creatively and find my own unique voice as an artist.

I know that I still have a long way to go, but I am excited for all of the adventures and opportunities that lie ahead on this journey.
