#Reviving a forgotten hobby#

Creativity takes courage.”

Friends,

Art has always been a part of my life, even before I realized it. As a child, I would spend hours drawing and sketching in my notebook. I use to lose myself in my own world of imagination filled with interesting images.  Yes, my drawing is a childhood hobby.

As long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with doodling since my childhood.

In fact, I used to doodle all the time. The margins of my school notebook were always filled with imaginary little drawings. And it seems to me that still not much has changed.

Little did I know that those childhood doodles would eventually lead me to a great passion for art.

Growing up, I could not get an opportunity to continue my artistic interests. However, I used to do sketches related to my biology subject most of the time.

After student life, I came to my professional life, but could not find time to revive my hibernated hobby of art and drawing.

Rekindling the passion after retirement

After my retirement, I got an opportunity to enroll in art classes and workshops, where I honed my skills and start discovering my love for art again. I have enough time now to pursue this childhood hobby again.

I use different mediums for my drawing, including pencil, watercolor, and acrylic paint.

Have a Love for Cartoon Drawing

These days,  I have developed a love for cartoon drawing and I ultimately chose to follow my heart and pursue cartoon drawing.

I had the resolution to draw 150 cartoon drawings in January itself but  I could achieve the number of 101 cartoon sketches only.

I am learning this skill since a month ago. however, I always find happiness in doing cartoons.

I was under the impression that I am a bad learner of art and drawing because, during the initial days, I was feeling hard to draw as I liked.

.

Set a long-range goal of drawing

Really, It is a challenging journey, as I have to balance my other assignment with my art.  I am confident that with hard work and determination, I will be able to create my portfolio one day which I will be proud of.

I have a long-range goal and want to create the life I wanted to live.

For me, learning different skills including my art and drawing is my priority. Therefore, learning basic interpersonal skills i.e. active listening proper practice and hard work are essential.

What I feel that accomplishing such an activity will take me one step closer to my goal. I am trying to implement effective time management which may provide peace of mind and keep me happy..

Journey of reviving a forgotten hobby

Friends, finally I would like to say that… the journey of reviving a forgotten hobby is a testament to the human spirit, to the never-ending desire to create and express oneself.

It is a reminder that it is never too late to pursue our passions and that it is possible to rediscover the joy and happiness that we once held dear to our hearts.
