For example, some people believe that happiness comes from external sources, such as money, fame, or material possessions. However, research has shown that these things do not bring lasting happiness, and in fact, can often lead to more stress and anxiety.

  3. Happiness is so important, but as you say, elusive for some. We don’t always really understand ourselves or what will make us happy … and feel contentment. People sometimes chase external objects/possessions for happiness, but its fleeting and won’t last. They’ll soon be driven to obtain the next thing.

Internal motivators, if we can identify what works for us, will give us more, deeper meaning happiness.

I don’t think I’m expressing this well, so I hope you understand what I’m trying to say. 🙃
