# I am not retired #

Friends,

I want to tell you something about myself. My name is Vijay Verma. I am a banker and I have taken retirement from a bank job four years back.

Nowadays I live in Kolkata, the city of happiness. As the name of the city suggests, I always try to be happy, and healthy and live a lively life…

My friends being called me.. you are retired now.

Yes, I was a banker since December 1985 and retired from State Bank of India in April 2017.  Having served the Bank for 32 years as an officer in various positions from time to time,

Now, I am now enjoying a peaceful life but not so-called retired life. By the way, it is natural to have some health problems at this stage of life.

Moreover, I am not yet retired, just changed the nature of my work. This is the fact that I am retired from the Bank but engaging in different types of work and so enjoying a new type of experience as well. What do you think?

Friends, don’t let your old age stop you from pursuing something that you want to try, and feel happy doing that. Sometimes we are unable to do so because of our other responsibilities after retirement. But opportunity is there and We have to handle it carefully.

Someone suggested that — check what other options you have available to enjoy the rest of your life and plan accordingly.

There is a beautiful quote from Curtis — Although you will never be too old to reinvent yourself, there are some challenges you’ll face as you get further along in your Life,

Finally, there’s the psychological toll of having to prove myself once again, and do something different from my present job.

Yes, I want to make my senior citizen brothers aware of health-related problems and their treatment. Keeping the subject in mind, I am sharing my views on health-related problems. I want to fulfill the duty of social service through social media.

As we all know that social media is a strong platform to communicate with friend’s circle and share our thought. We can discuss personal problems, health-related problems, and moreover how to keep healthy in difficult situations.

For this purpose, I have selected this media and am writing blogs sitting at home so that we can communicate and share our experiences for our mutual benefit.

I am now blogging and a very good friend circle has been created.  I am feeling happy and healthy by the grace of God and wish you all a healthy life.

Very Effective Medium to connect

Friends, this is a very effective medium to connect with all our friends and enjoy happy moments together.  So I have kept different categories in my blog, under which I keep expressing my views from time to time and also getting feedback through comments from you.

I want to mold my personality into a person who is happy and friendly with everyone, and for this, I am constantly trying.

Health & wellness

I use to write blogs on health and wellness. Yes, I generally share my views on physical, mental, and social well-being;

It generally covers five main aspects of personal health: i.e. physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual.

In my opinion, all five aspects are important In order to be considered our true health.

I am also an avid reader, and I enjoy reading mythological stories. I am curious to know different cultures and people of different countries.

That’s why I started this blogging. I like to write on various subjects in Hindi as well as in English. I have made different categories in my Blogs..

My Poem

I enjoy writing Hindi poems and expressing my feelings through my poems. Writing poetry is a serious subject for me.

Writing poetry gives me instant relief amidst the ups and downs of life and is a very effective tool to set my mood.

I am learning how to write different types of poems. I get inspired by the surroundings and events and make them the content of the poem.

I am a positive thinker so I like to write poetry on different aspects of life and nature.

Sometimes during morning walks, sitting in the corner of the park,  I use that peaceful environment to manipulate words with whatever comes to my mind, and then it turns into poetry.

I love writing poetry because it allows me to play with words and go into imaginary worlds where I have the freedom to express myriad ideas.

I have a dream to make a collection of my poems that includes my memoirs, and unknown aspects of my personality can be included and I can compile and publish them.

I Love painting

Yes, I always have a sketch book with me too. Whenever I’m in a bad mood or feel tired, my favorite colors spill over the pages of my sketch book. I immerse myself in drawing and painting which gives me mental stability and happiness.

I think it is an Art therapy that not only helps with self-care but also helps us to concentrate on any work. It is also helpful in finding solutions to difficult problems.

I feel that Drawing & painting can help to create a greater sense of self-esteem, appreciation, and a more positive state of mind.  Painting can help to generate positive emotions such as joy, contentment, and mental peace.

I am also a sports lover and still I like to play table tennis and badminton. So, I also blog on different sports events and keep updated myself.
