#An Evening in Wax Museum#

Friends

This is a fact that sometimes we experience moments of joy in our lives which become memorable.

Yes, I got an opportunity to visit the Wax Museum a week before and acquainted myself with such a beautiful experience.

I was just wandering with my family in the evening to look for a unique place where we could enjoy the evening. My car stopped at the gate of Mother’s Wax Museum.

My son had suggested having a visit to the Wax Museum located in the New Town area, which was not far away from my place of stay.

Finally, we decided to enjoy this evening with my family at that place.

Mother’s Wax Museum is a wax museum located in New Town, Kolkata. This is situated on the 5th and 6th floors of the West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation building.

We have been informed that the museum was established in November 2014 and it contains wax statues of more than 50  important personalities, including statues of Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan.

It is not only one of the rarest museums in the country but apparently a popular one too. Many factors make this wax museum in Kolkata an exciting place to visit and enjoy time and again.

First of all, Mother’s Wax Museum got its name from Mother Teresa, who had been a significant personality in Indian history.

Apart from that, it is inspired by Madame Tussauds in London.

I have heard about Madame Tussaud’s, which is a wax museum in London;  It was founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud in 1835.

Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying the waxworks of famous and historical figures, as well as popular film and television characters.

Some sculptures still exist that Marie Tussaud herself made. The gallery originally contained some 400  wax statues of important personalities.

It is my desire to visit that place. But I have not had the chance to visit there to date.

Finally, that long standing my desire is now fulfilling here to visit this Mother’s Wax Museum, which seems to be the same.

After having an entry ticket, we used a building lift to come to the 5th floor. There were so many visitors enjoying the moments.

We found that the wax statues in the museum have been segregated into departments such as — History & Leaders, Sports, Bollywood, Hollywood, and lastly Music. It is Mother’s promise to have something special for all her visitors.

History & Leaders:

Much like museums, Mother’s Wax Museum does not fail to provide a tribute to the legends our country has housed, witnessed, and remembered.

The stalwarts of our country have been frozen into their life-like selves for us to jump on the wagon to be able to travel back in time.

Starting with Mahatma Gandhi, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, B. R. Ambedkar, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, etc are paid respects to in the museum.

Literature and Spirituality

As we know Kolkata has always been a hub of art, literature, and culture. That is the real charm of the city.

The city has brought to life some of the geniuses in these fields Mother Wax Museum celebrates them, such as Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Sarada Devi, and Mother Teresa, among others.

I was surprised to see the statue, which looks like alive.

Sports

There are almost no corners in the world where people don’t like, talk, and follow sports like a religion. It is almost like glue binding them together.

Similarly, there is nothing above Sports that is enjoyed on such a large scale in India.

Mother’s Wax Museum pays tribute to some of the legends in the world of Sports by keeping statues of phenomenal people such as our very own captain Virat Kohli and Bengal’s pride, Sourav Ganguly. Lionel Messi and Maradona also grace us with their presence.

Bollywood & Hollywood

Who does not like Bollywood? Or breaking into dance steps made vogue by our Mithun Da in the movie?

We had not only enjoyed the pleasant song of Bollywood playing there;   It surprised us to find there the beautiful statue of Mithun Da and Michael Jackson as well.

We have seen the statues of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan, among others, from Bollywood.

The museum is graced by their presence of Hollywood are Audrey Hepburn, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts, among others.

 Music:

Nothing pulls the strings of your heart like your favorite beats to a song or even your favorite singer. With Michael Jackson’s loss, the world cried uncontrollably.

At Mother’s Wax Museum, we see the statue of Michael Jackson along with other megastars such as Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Hemanta Mukherjee, Kishore Kumar, etc. I have taken selfies with all that stalwart.

Mother’s Wax Museum houses several other celebrities who are simply a class apart. We have Uttam Kumar, Suchitra Sen, Mithun Chakraborty, and Albert Einstein – it is a long list.

Really, that was a great experience for me. First, I came near my favorite statue of Mr. Bean and took a selfie with it.

It surprised me to see that the statue looked as if alive.  I am a fan of this great artist.

We have seen over 50 full-figured statues of different prominent figures from India and abroad.

Many visitors saw the statue with great surprise and felt happy to click their photo with their favorite star’s statue.

One can easily check them out as per convenience. This is the best way to have fun with them and explore and brush up on our knowledge.

After spending an hour there, we were feeling a bit hungry and looking for some refreshment there.

Luckily, we found a café on the sixth floor. After refreshing,  we enjoyed the beautiful evening scene from the top floor.

I had a video shoot at a beautiful location. You can enjoy the same with the click of the link below.

Delta-8 is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. It’s known for producing mild psychoactive effects—somewhere between CBD and Delta-9 THC (the main compound in marijuana).

It’s often used for relaxation, focus, and relief from pain or anxiety without being overly intense.
