# Drawing is my Hobby#

I think drawing is the best hobby. You can create art anywhere as long as you have two things: pencils and paper.

I have been learning sketches and painting for the last 2 years. It is a form of art and I love this Art.

Drawing is an expression of our inner thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It’s also an expression of creativity that can be used for self-reflection.

It improves our optimism, our character, and our happiness. Whenever I go into depression, I find my drawing is helpful in reducing the feelings of depression and anxiety and reducing stress. Yes, I got instant relief.

I think  It’s good to start at a young age because it gives you a chance to start using your brain and be creative. Also, it is an opportunity to challenge thinking skills and develop learning skills. However I think it can be started at any stage of life, That is why I started this hobby at 60 years of young age. I still use my brain and learn to develop skills in this form of Art.

Whenever I get up in the morning, I visit my workplace and see my favorite drawing that gives me a cheerful mood.

But for the last 7 days, I have not made any drawings & paintings because of my illness, but I am desperate to continue my drawing and Art.

I am not an artist but I love this hobby and finding the meaning of life through pencil and paper.

What I feel is that drawing & painting is important to me for many reasons. It is highly subjective and also very personal. It is a medium where I try to express my feelings and emotions through sketches.

Now, drawing & painting is my Hobby and has always been a fascination for me. It also reflects our thoughts and personality.

There is a beautiful quote about how I feel this with my emotions.

“He who works with his hands is called a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is identified as an artist.”

It is true that Art has the ability to help me get through some of the hardest times in my life, especially in times of crisis.

It helps me to deal with adverse situations and create something beautiful out of them. It helps to keep us cool.

My drawing also helps me to connect with like-minded people and usually reciprocate our feelings through drawings.

I am trying to have a piece of artwork that is special to me and that keeps me happy feelings.  I am still at work.

There are countless forms of art. When it comes to visual arts, there are generally 3 types: decorative, commercial, and fine art. I like fine art, but I am not good at drawing. Drawing is a challenge for me.

Doing a lot of sketches

I want to develop my own style of drawing. My drawing teacher suggested that I have to make a lot of sketches with sincere dedication and effort. It will help me develop my skills and that makes me tick.

Purpose of drawing

There is always some purpose in any work. The key to making a drawing is to find ways to stay motivated. I have decided to set a specific time aside each day for this hobby.. I think promising yourself is a reward when you’ve filled up your sketchbook.

Keep Experimenting

I have an interest in experimenting with different types of drawings. It gives me immense pleasure to draw a different type of drawing that helps me develop my skill as well.

For this, I have signed up for a course on Udemy to further extend my skill. My drawing teacher said that sometimes a nugget of an idea you learn from a course can kick-start new ways of working you would never have imagined.

Improving my work regularly

I do so many sketches daily and find that the improvement is there. I also get it analyzed on a weekly basis through our drawing teacher..

They always comment and give suggestions on my drawings and I write down what they suggested.  Some little clues from my mentor help me in further drawing and painting.

Focusing on abstract painting.

I have spent 2 years’ time experimenting with my sketches and paintings. As suggested by my drawing teacher, I am giving more focus to abstract paintings.

 Challenging to myself

I always used to set myself a creative challenge with the objective to complete a particular drawing within the given time frame. That keeps me motivated and excited.

Collection of work from artists

I have also gathered some Artwork from my favorite artists because their works inspire me. It helps me a lot when I practice painting.

I love working in water color so I picked the work of a watercolorist. I love that inspires me a lot.

 Enjoying the process

Drawing is the passion that gives me immense pleasure and happiness. I think it will be helpful in moving forward toward my desired goal. I keep working and hope to develop my own style one day.
