We are suffering from scorching heat these days and swimming in the pool is the best option to beat the heat and enjoy the summer.
Yes, swimming is one of the best exercises you can do for your health. It’s a total body workout, taxing your arms and legs, as well as your cardiovascular system, yet it puts less stress on your joints than most other exercises. And on a hot summer day, the cool water is a good place to get sweaty.
Swimming is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water.
There is a swimming pool in our society, and I am enjoying with swimming in the pool.
Today, I want to narrate my true story, which is about swimming. ,
I had a desire since childhood that I should learn to swim, but during school days there was an incident . One of my friends drowned in the swimming pool that scared me from swimming.
It deprived me of this skill till the last months..
It is said that sometimes such incidents happen, which you do not even expect. It was only a few days ago, after doing morning walk, I sat down to do yoga near the swimming pool. The kids were enjoying themselves in the swimming pool. The light, cold weather and sunshine in the morning had captivated my mind.
A cool breeze was blowing, and I was trying to meditate, sitting at one side of the swimming pool.
Suddenly , my granddaughter came up to me and insisted on swimming with her. I used to be very nervous about going to the swimming pool because I did not know how to swim.
But we have to take care of our kids. Thinking so, I also went down to the swimming pool with her.
She was swimming in the water with the help of a tube and I was just standing inside the water and simply splashing in the water because I did not know how to swim.
An unknown person was watching my activity while he was swimming nearby.
It thrilled my granddaughter in the pool and suddenly she said – Dada ji , come, let’s race in the water.
But the very next moment she said – oh, sorry you do not know how to swim. A young man was watching all this phenomenon. He suddenly came to me and said – Uncle, you can swim.
I stared at him and said with a laugh – I had tried years ago to learn to swim, but could not succeed. Now my old age has come. You know that even an old lion is of no use.
He replied to me with confidence – uncle, I will teach you to swim in two days. This is my challenge.
I just smiled, looking at him.
On the next day, I was doing yoga again at that place in the morning.
That Young man came to swim at the same time and forced me to drop myself into the pool.
I was terrified in the beginning but he explained some swimming tips to me and helped me in swimming along with me.
After two days, I was convinced that I could still learn to swim.
My positive thoughts have helped me to get success in my mission.
Right now, I am convinced with this statement that if you have a strong will power and try to do that work with positive thinking, then you can easily complete any difficult task.
That unknown person is now my best friend, and he is Nabhiraj . Thank you dear Nabhiraj for fulfilling my long-standing desire.
Friends, swimming is a good all-round activity because it keeps your heart rate up and keeps your body cool and keeps your mind stressed off.
Swimming has many other benefits, including:
– It is being fun as well.
– being a relaxing and peaceful form of exercise
– alleviating stress
– improving coordination, balance and posture
– improving flexibility
– providing a pleasant way to cool down on a hot day.
– We can enjoy swimming in pools, beaches, lakes, dams and rivers.
I am still learning and improving my swimming skills day by day .
I am doing freestyle, backstroke and butterfly . I can dive as well.
