# Mahakumbh of IPL #

Dear friends,

Let us talk about the 15th edition IPL 2022. Much awaited IPL is now going on.

There has been a lot of enthusiasm among the cricket lovers, because this year IPL is being played in Mumbai city of our country and people are enjoying the live match in the playground after the gap of two years because of covid.

Today, I would like to share some detailed information about IPL match played on Saturday and Sunday.

The Mahakumbh of 15th IPL is now going to last for two months.

The first match was played between the winning team of 2021 IPL Chennai Super Kings and Calcutta Knight Rider at the Wankhede Stadium.

Even before the start of IPL, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the 14th IPL season, left the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings, surprised his fans and offered Ravindra Jadeja to be the captain of his place on the committee of CSK.

The Calcutta Knight Rider has handed over the captaincy command to Shreyas Iyer.

IPL is witnessing a lot of changes this year.

Eoin Morgan, who was the captain of KKR in the 2021 IPL season, did not get a place in any team this year.

KKR replaced him with Iyer, who is now the captain of KKR . He had been the captain of Delhi and he led Delhi team to the final in the IPL match played in UAE in 2020.

In the history of IPL, where Chennai has played the inaugural match of IPL 12 times, in which it has won 6 and lost 6 times. On the other hand, the KKR has tasted victory 10 times while opening their team for 14 times.

Previously, IPL opening match had been played between Chennai and Kolkata only in 2011, where Chennai won by 2 runs. But this time on 15th IPL 2022, KKR defeated CKS by 6 wickets in the opening match..

Umesh Yadav, who was late pick for KKR from the auction, but in opening match he act rightly with good pace on the pitch, and dismissed CSK star batter Rituraj Gaikwad (0) in first over the put CKS on the back foot. Again, he dismissed the second batter, Kiwi opener, Devon Conway in power play. For KKR, paisa wasool.

M S Dhoni, who had relinquished his captaincy, has shown their ability again and scored half century of 38 balls, against tough situation.

Achinka Rahane, who went for a base price at auction for KKR, played sensibly and made 44 of 34 balls, which define the way to victory for KKR. Again, paisa wasool for KKR.

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capital

The second match between Mumbai Indians & Delhi Capital was played on 27th March. Ishan Kishan has batted all 20 overs, screaming to the world he is worth of all of Rs. 15.25 cr Mumbai Indians spent on him. He made solid 81 in 48 balls. But Axar Patel and Lalita Yadav spoiled Ishan Kishan’s party with last five overs of intelligent, clean and proactive batting which took Delhi Capitals from overhauling the 178 run target set by Mumbai Indians.

75 run partnership between Lalita Yadav and Axar is DC’s second highest 7th wicket stand in IPL behind the 91 between Rabada and Morris vs MI on April 22, 2017.

10 number of consecutive seasons, Mumbai Indians have lost their inaugural match in the IPL. Their first match blues started from 2013 season and has continued till 2022.

RCB vs Punjab Kings

In the 3rd match between RCB and Punjab Kings played on 27th March. PK had made their intensions clear at the IPL auction table. , he is adding batting depth and muscle needed to chase down big targets. He found the perfect opportunity to test their new recruits while chasing 206 against RCB played on Sunday.
