Why walking is necessary ???…

This morning when I was walking in the park, I saw people of all age. Children, teens and senior citizen are enjoying walking in groups.

Really, people have become so health conscious these days and everyone realizes the importance of physical and mental fitness.

Study shows that walking in nature reduces ruminating over negative experience which lowers risk of depression.

Now a day’s doctors are also advising to walk at least 15 -30 minutes daily in the morning or evening.

To gain cardiovascular benefits, experts recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week. That breaks down to about 21 minutes per day if you walk every day or 30 minutes per day five times per week. If weight loss is your goal, more physical activity is recommended, along with dietary changes.

Yes, this simple activity is a boon for our overall health.

walking is really good form of exercise and can help us in reaching our fitness and weight loss goal .

Healthier brain, healthier mind…..

One study has shown that walking provides plenty of benefits to our brains. When you walk , the level of endorphins increase ..thus significantly reducing the stress levels.

It also supports the overall brain health and can even reduce the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Better vision …

It might seem unusual but walking can even improve vision. It works by releasing the eye pressure and reducing glaucoma.

 Healthy heart…

According to the American heart association, walking is as beneficial for the heart as running. It can help reduce the risk of heart related disease. Walking stabilizes the blood pressure, reduces cholesterol level and improves blood circulation.

Increased Lung volume.

When you walk, your lungs get more oxygen which then distributed throughout your entire body. Besides removing toxins, walking can improve lung function thus preventing respiratory diseases.

Healthier Pancreas…

Regular walks can help maintain healthy glucose levels. It is even more efficient in preventing diabetes than running. People who walk regularly have healthier blood sugar level than those who run.

Improved digestion.

By walking 30 minutes a day not only lower the risk of colon cancer but also improve our digestion and can relieve constipation and flatulence.

Linear muscle.

when you lose body fat, your muscle become more prominent and linear. You can achieve this by walking 10,000 steps a day. If you want to add intensity to your walks, try walking uphill or add an interval in between. This can increase the muscle tone in various parts of your body. Also walking is not a rigorous exercise for the body so you will not experience soreness or wait for your muscles to heal before you continue walking.

Strong bones and joints…

The  arthritis foundation recommends walking for a healthier body. Painful and stiff joints will be relieved by walking 30 minutes a day. It will also not cause additional damage or pain and can prevent bone loss.

Reduced back pain…

High impact exercises can harm the back but not walking. it is a low impact exercise that actually relieves back pain by promoting blood flow to the spinal area and improving posture and flexibility of the back muscles.

Balanced mind. …

If you experience mood disorders, walking can help you lighten up. Walking with someone is even more helpful. Regular walks can reduce stress, depression and anxiety levels.

Anyone can improve their health with walking simply by increasing your daily steps. Get up from your desk every hour and walk around your office. Take a leisurely stroll after dinner. Grab the kids and walk to school instead of driving.
