how to remain still.

fall in love

the fragrance
of yesterday,
and the hope
hidden
inside goodbye.
People smiled.
They called me crazy.
Perhaps they were right.
Only a mad heart
can find
an entire universe
inside one smile.
But listen…
if love
never steals
your sleep,
never changes
your direction,
never teaches
your soul
to fly—
was it ever
love at all?
So today,
I make no complaint.
Only a confession—
