# My Invisible Wounds #

This poem looks at the hidden emotional wounds that others may not see. It discusses overthinking, hidden pain, resilience, and hope, showing how inner struggles can exist behind a smile.

Even with invisible scars, the poem sends a message of strength—that healing is possible and pain does not diminish one’s true spirit.

Invisible Wounds

Some wounds don’t arrive as tears,
They come disguised as silent fears,
As restless thoughts that never sleep,
And memories buried far too deep.

They hide behind a smiling face,
Yet steal the heart’s most peaceful place.
No one can see the hurt I hold,
The inner pain that stays untold.

I learn to laugh, I learn to cope,
While carrying a fragile hope
That one day peace will find its way
And lift the weight I hide each day.

For not all scars are meant to show;
Some bloom where only I can go.
Though pain may linger for a while,
It cannot steal my unique smile.

  1. Some truths are better to be hidden. We didn’t know each one what we’ve been going through. Life is sometimes fragile. Beautiful poem, Verma

    • Thank you so much for your thoughtful words.

I agree—life is often far more fragile than it appears on the surface. We meet people every day without truly knowing the battles they carry, the grief they hide, or the strength it takes for them to keep moving forward. Sometimes the deepest truths remain unspoken, not out of dishonesty, but because they are too tender to share
