# Life is a Mystery #

This poem reflects on the quiet and unfolding nature of life. It suggests that life is not meant to be fully understood in one moment, but experienced gradually through memories, change, loss, and resilience.

Ultimately, it reminds us that life is less about visible success and more about the strength to rise again and again after every fall.

# Life is a Mystery #

Life doesn’t explain itself.
It just shows up—
late sometimes,
heavy sometimes,
silent most of the time.

You don’t get a manual.
You only get moments.

Some people stay.
Some don’t.
And the strange part is—
both teach us something.

Time doesn’t care about our timing.
It moves anyway.
Even when we are stuck
replaying yesterday in our head
as if it owes us answers.

Pain isn’t loud.
It’s quiet work.
It changes our pace,
our patience,
and the way we look at doors
that once felt open.

And control—
that’s a funny idea.
We think we have it,
until life gently takes it back
without asking.

Still, life is not cruel.
It is just honest in a way
we don’t always understand at first.

People leave.
Not always because something is wrong—
sometimes because their part
was already complete
in our becoming.

And we change too.
Without noticing.
Until one day,
we don’t react the same way anymore,
and we can’t even remember
when that shift happened.

Yes… it is a mystery of life.

Not dramatic.
Not always poetic in real time.
Just ongoing.

But here is the quiet truth underneath it all—

We survive more than we think.
We understand more than we admit.
And even on days we feel undone,
we are still here,
moving forward in our own way.

Not perfectly.
Not neatly.
But still.

Yes— Life is a mystery.
Not because it cannot be understood…
but because it can only be understood slowly,
through caring and living it.

    • Thank you so much 😊🙏

That’s a really thoughtful reflection—you’ve captured something very true in a simple way. Life does feel like one of the biggest mysteries, and yet we’re given the chance to walk through it day by day, learning as we go, even when things aren’t fully clear.

  2. Well said. Life is a mystery and how we exist in that life is due to our choices and sometimes due to our inattention. One can not simply be a passenger in life and expect the best. Your thought about control is just that. We think we have control but in reality may only have the illusion of control. Have a great weekend.

    • That’s a very grounded and thoughtful reflection.

You’re right—life isn’t something we can simply sit back and passively experience while expecting everything to align in our favor. Our choices, our awareness, and yes, even our moments of inattention all shape the direction things take. There’s a quiet responsibility in that.
