# To Live Before Goodbye #

This poem reflects the emotional journey of life as a blend of joy and sorrow, where every experience leaves a mark on the soul.

It speaks of resilience, gratitude, and the quiet determination to keep living fully despite life’s fragility and impermanence.

# To Live Before Goodbye #

In the quiet weave of joy and pain,
I gather fragments—sun and rain.
I stitch my thoughts from breaking skies,
and learn the truth in tearful eyes.

I write the moments life has spun,
the hidden weight, the rising sun.
I eat my days—both bitter, sweet,
and walk through time on weary feet.

Yes, every sorrow leaves a trace,
a softer line upon my face.
And every joy, however small,
becomes the light that shapes it all.

I am no more than what I feel,
a shifting heart the years reveal.
Yet still I rise, still I try—
to love this life before goodbye.

Life, a gift so brief, so wide,
I hold the storm, I hold the tide.
And in between what breaks, what mends,
I vow to live until the journey ends. 😍

  2. Beautifully penned, Verma ji. 💫
This poem resonates deep within—where joy and sorrow are not opposites but companions on the same fragile, precious journey. The line ‘I vow to live until the journey ends’ is especially powerful—a gentle yet fierce reminder to embrace every season of the heart. Thank you for this soulful reflection on resilience and gratitude. Truly moving. 🙏😍

I’m really touched that the poem resonated with you in that way. You captured its essence beautifully—that quiet companionship of joy and sorrow, walking together through the journey.
That line you mentioned holds a special place for me too… it’s a reminder I keep returning to. I’m grateful it spoke to you.

    • Good evening, and thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. 🙇‍♂️
Your reflection is deeply moving. The way you describe life—as a space woven with joy, pain, and quiet moments—feels so true. Even when feelings shatter or tears fall, those fragments we gather become part of something meaningful, something that gently shapes light within us.

  5. It speaks to the resilience of the human spirit, illustrating how the shadows of grief and the brilliance of laughter work together to shape our true selves. In every scar and every smile, there is a story of growth that connects our individual journey to the vast, shared experience of living. 🌿🕊️🙏

    • That’s beautifully expressed. 🌿🕊️
There’s something powerful in that idea—that grief and laughter aren’t opposites, but partners in shaping who we become. The way you see both scars and smiles as part of the same story gives it a sense of wholeness, not just healing.

  6. This felt very honest and lived.

That “eat my days, both bitter and sweet” line… that’s exactly what most people try to avoid but you’ve owned it.

There’s a quiet strength in how you’ve written this, not loud, but it stays.

You always bring that balance of realism and hope really well.

More people should read this one.

    • Thank you—that really means a lot.

That line came from a place of accepting that life isn’t meant to be filtered into only the sweet parts. The bitter has its place too, even if we resist it. Writing it felt like acknowledging something we all experience but don’t always say out loud.

I’m especially grateful you noticed the quiet strength—that’s the space I try to write from. Not something loud or forceful, just something that stays with you for a while.
