# Exploring the Journey of Life #

This word delves into the quiet journey of life—its mix of light and shadow, connection and isolation. It reflects on how we often get lost in the world’s noise, only to find something deeper within ourselves.

At its heart, the poem discusses identity, resilience, and the truths that linger when everything else disappears.

“Exploring the Journey of Life ”

Life…
is a strange kind of journey.

Not loud.
Not always clear.
But deeply, quietly… real.

Some days,
it wraps you in sunlight—
like everything finally makes sense.

And some days…
it casts a shadow over your soul,
and you’re left searching for pieces
you didn’t even know you lost.

We walk…
and walk…
and somewhere along the way,
we lose ourselves.

Only to find—
on some unexpected corner of existence—
we were never truly gone.

Just… hidden.

Like a river,
we don’t stop.

We break,
we bend,
we crash against the edges of who we thought we were—
and still…
we flow.

Have you ever felt alone
in a room full of people?

Smiling on the outside,
while something chaotic stirs within.

Because it does.

Behind every face—
a story unfinished.
Behind every silence—
a truth waiting to breathe.

And all this noise…
this chaos…

One day,
it will fade.

The names,
the roles,
the masks we wear—

gone.

And what remains?

Not success.
Not applause.

Just a feeling…
soft, familiar—
like a memory you can’t quite place.

  1. Verma ji, this is beautifully profound.
You’ve captured the quiet ache and quiet strength of being human—the way we lose and find ourselves in the same breath. The river metaphor flows effortlessly, and the line “Behind every silence—a truth waiting to breathe” will stay with me for a long time. Thank you for this gentle, honest reminder that even in chaos, we are never truly gone. 🙏

It’s deeply humbling to know that the piece resonated with you on such a personal level. That line you mentioned… “Behind every silence—a truth waiting to breathe”… came from a very quiet place within, and I’m glad it found a space in your heart.

    • Your words feel just as gentle and heartfelt—thank you, truly.

It means a lot to know that the piece brought you a sense of calm and stayed with you beyond the moment. That balance of light and shadow is something I think we all carry, and I simply tried to listen to it… and give it a voice.

  3. What a profound poem, my friend, it translates, in a very sensitive way, the silent journey of life, with its lights and shadows, encounters and voids.
Indeed, behind the noise of the world and the roles we assume, there is always something essential in us that remains, even when we feel lost. Sometimes we hide from ourselves, but we never cease to truly exist.
And it is in this flow, between falls and rebirths, that we continue to discover ourselves, little by little, in the simple act of being.
Thank you for sharing this touching text. I wish you an excellent weekend! 🙂✍🏻✨📚✍🏻🌌🧚🏻‍♀️

    • Thank you, my friend, for such a deeply thoughtful and beautifully expressed reflection. It truly touched me. 😊

You’ve understood the essence of the poem so sensitively—the quiet journey within, the interplay of light and shadow, and that enduring presence of something essential within us. Your words add even more depth to what I was trying to convey.

  4. I don’t know much about poetry, but it has a certain
Je ne sais quoi and in the words of the late Peter Shickley “if it sounds good, it is good.”

    • That’s such a lovely way to put it—and honestly, I think you’ve captured the essence of poetry perfectly. 😊

You don’t need to “know” poetry in any formal sense to appreciate it. That je ne sais quoi you mentioned—that feeling, that resonance—is exactly what poetry is meant to evoke. If it sounds good and feels right, then it is good.

  6. Is that your painting, Sir V? It moved me the moment I laid eyes on it. I wish it hung on my living room wall. It would comfort me just gazing at it.

“Have you ever felt alone in a room full of people?” I always have. I was only ever visible in the company of my parents. Since they were gone, I’ve never felt seen.

    • Thank you so much for your kind and touching words—it truly means a lot. I’m deeply moved that the painting resonated with you in such a personal way.

And what you shared… that feeling of being alone even in a room full of people—it’s something many carry quietly, though few express it so honestly. To feel truly seen is a rare and precious experience, especially when the ones who once held that space for us are no longer there.
